Absolutely awful. Started out pretty well. He seemed to know his stuff, however as time went on I felt worse and worse. I gained at least 20 pounds in his care, became very unstable and he kept throwing random medication at me. I already struggled with my weight and the meds I was put on did not help, I became severely depressed and anxious and I had tried multiple medications that honestly now scare me to death. I had a HORRIBLE time on one of the medications and then after a few months he tried to convince me to take it AGAIN after originally saying I was on the lowest dose he could prescribe. Turns out there was an even lower dose. After having enough of this treatment, I asked to switch providers. His jokes weren't funny, his dismissal of my concerns was upsetting and he was obnoxious. I am now with a new prescriber and she has already helped me off of one of the MANY medications he put me on. I do NOT recommend this man.

Worst psychiatrist ever
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO THIS MAN! If I could give less than one star I would. I had this man as my psychiatrist when I was 19 years old, and he is the worst psychiatrist I have ever had. I went to him for medication regarding my bipolar disorder, and somehow we would always end up talking about birth control. I found this very weird for obvious reasons. He also told me I would become a drug addict because I smoked weed at the time, and that if I didn’t start taking birth control I would get pregnant. “Professionals” like this are the reason a lot of kids don’t like seeking help for their issues. His license should be taken away.

I became his patient through (the now closed down) Westwood Lodge hospital. The very first time i met him, I was very depressed. When I had trouble explaining what had happened, he got very frustrated and his intern(?) had to interview me instead. In appointments, he talked more about himself and his recent trip to Europe than he did about my medication that I was struggling with. One time I waited 1.5 hours after my appointment time before he came through the front door with his lunch, and then made me wait another half hour before seeing me for 2 minutes. The last straw was when I tried getting a refill a bit earlier than I could see him and his assistant (i think Erica?) lectured me about having to be more responsible. I am in much better hands now, and I hope that he knows that he made my life harder and more stressful than anything.

I would rather go without psychiatric care than spend a visit with this imbecile. There are not nearly enough child/young adult prescribers in the area, so I get that his case load is large. However, every time I went there, I waited over 40 minutes past my appointment time to see him. If this is such a consistent occurrence, why do you keep accepting new patients? That is just the tip of the iceberg with this guy. I presented to the ER with side effects from a led he prescribed me. I followed his protocol and texted his assistant to let her know. The next time I saw him, he said he would drop me as a patient if I didn’t call him to inform him of my ER visit. After some back and forth, he finally went, “oh yeah, I forgot she told me about your ER visit.” Completely unprofessional to yell at me when I did nothing wrong. During one of our sessions, he stopped mid conversation because he got an email that his new Mercedes was ready to be picked up. He was giddy and I was perturbed!

Unprofessional in the extreme. Stay away is right!!! He told me my son had ADHD after meeting for first time for only 2 mins. He diagnosed my son in 2 mins.?! Ummmm he says he does ADHD testing total BS. Never filled out one questionnaire no anything. Very smug and was inappropriately teasing or as he said "joking" with my son about his disorder.

Be prepared to wait at least 40 minutes every appointment. Extremely unprofessional, jokes in a harsh way which is not appropriate especially since he is already dealing with people who already have enough problems.

I would not recommend Russell Bisesi. Very unprofessional. He called my 17 year old daughter with ADD an air head and a ditz in my presence on multiple occasions. I am in health care and find this unacceptable. Confidence building is not his strength. Be prepared for at least a 40 minute wait every visit. When we were 2 minutes late, he made a huge deal out of the situation and refused to see us. When we got up to leave, he changed his mind. Stay away.

I've been a patient of Russell's for almost 3 years. Sometimes he runs behind, usually because a patient needs extra time with him. I applaud the fact he takes extra time when a patient needs it. Most of his patients are children, he "inherited" me from another prescriber there. The staff is fantastic, his assistant is great. I just wish he had weekday morning appointments.
