Took my child who has had a fever of 102-103 for 5 days with a super wet cough. She said “there’s nothing I can do for him.” I told her I want an xray to rule out pneumonia because I am in my last semester of PNP clinicals and children come in daily with the same symptoms, chest is clear on exam but positive on chest xray. She said “well we haven’t been seeing that here.” She is SO rude and doesn’t listen. Her clinical note did not match what I told her at all so she wasn’t even listening. Stay away and ask for someone else to treat you if she comes in the room.

Went to the urgent care in Broad Ripple for symptoms concurrent with what my sister has—mycoplasma pnemonia. I had an upper respiratory infection in January of this year that progressed into pnemonia and this feels exactly the same as the early stages. I asked her to do an upper respiratory swab which tests RSV along with mycoplasma pneumonia (bacterial pnemonia). She told me that test did not exist even though my sister had gotten the same test a couple days prior and was found positive for mycoplasma pnemonia. She continued to tell me that swab does not exist when in fact it does, she just does not use that test, therefore lacked the correct information. I spoke with the nurse who understood the swab I was talking about, and said that that urgent care does not have it— I would need to go to a primary care or ER to get it. Meanwhile Ryan is STILL telling me it does not exist. Made me feel so stupid and said she needed to see another patient and left without addressing my concerns.

Terrible bedside manor. I don't feel like she even listened to my concerns nor addressed them. RUDE!

She has no idea on what she’s doing. Too lazy to run lab tests instead assuming my kids and me the whole family have allergies. Turns out strep positive but according to her fever of 102 and soreness on her throat is caused because of the allergies which she doesn’t have. She’s so rude towards the kids also. Doesn’t communicate. Instead of prescribing medicine she wrote down whole bunch of over the counter medications that came to her mind for my kids to take. I told her to prescribe it so I know for sure what I’m treating my kids for, but she refused to do so. There’s no way a parent would give their kids 10different kinds of over the counter medications just because someone without running tests assumed they have allergies. When I asked her to perform strep test she said no need for it because apparently it was just allergies. I had to beg for the test which came back positive. I will refuse to be seen by her in future.

One of the worst treatment experiences of my life. Ryan Michelle Goens treated my son at Medcheck in Walgreens in Carmel, IN. She should not be working around children, let alone in the medical field. Rude, unprofessional, and no confidence in her ability. I cannot believe I even sat through the appointment. When she called me with test results and I questioned her, she hung up on me. Please go to a real doctor for treatment if you can avoid her at all costs.
