Samantha Trapp, LMSW

It was important to me as a black woman to find a therapist who was also a black woman to help ensure that I would be understood and seen not only for who I am but for how the world sees me. I am thrilled to say that I hit the jackpot with Samantha. She has mastered the balance of creating a safe space while also making sure that her patients hold themselves accountable for the impacts their decisions have on their lives. She does a great job of reframing and helping 'retrain' your brain. Samantha is helping me to finally acknowledge that there is power in positive thinking. If you are a highly aware intellectualizer then Samantha is the one for you.

Samantha makes you feel at ease during our sessions. She is knowledgeable regarding mental health and setting boundaries. She has helped me have a better understanding of my feelings and how to advocate for myself.

I feel like I immediately clicked with Samantha, it is so comfortable to talk to her. She has helped so much and I always look forward to our appointments!

She really listens to me and asks productive follow up questions. I rarely needed to repeat myself. She has always been prepared for my sessions. She's helped me uncover some deep personal issues that I didn't know I had.
