Samantha Wennerberg, PA-C

Samantha biopsied two areas that did not appear to be cancerous. The lab confirmed that these were benign. She dismissed my concerns about a painful, growing lesion on my hand, giving it only a 3-second cryosurgery spray. Two weeks later, as the lesion continued to grow and the pain increased, it was biopsied by a dermatologist outside of the Duke system. It was found to be squamous cell carcinoma, for which I will have MOHS surgery. This delay in treatment has greatly impacted my daily life. It seems to me that Duke pressures it's medical staff to see so many patients each day that the docs, PA's, FNP's do not have time to fully engage and listen to the patients' concerns.

I have been a patient of Samantha Wennerberg's for several years. She is an extremely conscientious and through PA with a comforting and reassuring bed side manor. I always feel like my concerns are being addressed in such a way that I leave feeling confident that I have had all my questions answered and am partnering with a PA that really knows her field and educates her patients. I would recommend Samantha to anyone looking for the BEST!

Samantha was comprehensive and professional while also being extremely compassionate and personable. She allowed me to feel at ease and also confident that my health and well being was first and foremost and I wasn't just another patient with a problem. She took the time to really listen and converse with me about my issues and concerns and how to go forth in treatment.

Excellent bed side manner and extremely knowledgeable about all things skin care. Highly recommend visiting her and will be going back !!!
