Scott Berlin was not very attentive to my needs. He was either talking down to me or waiting for me to engage and come to a revelation about my mental health on my own. I went to Scott Berlin for about 6 months in 2013. I stopped coming back to Berlin when he terribly mishandled me during a low point in my life when I was regularly having panic attacks and failing to acclimate to college. Telling a patient, "What are you doing?! You've got to get your sh*t together" is probably not best practices. Not only was he unhelpful, but he tossed me into a downward spiral, exacerbating my conditions, and placing me in a worse spot than when I first sought out Berlin's services. I sure hope he learned a little more from his mommy boss since I last went there, because I don't see how he could be gainfully employed by any psychology or mental health practice with ham-fisted advice like "get your sh*t together." Really not a great way to talk someone down from the ledge, figuratively and literally.

I felt Dr Scott was good in my sessions but unfortunately he could never figure out how to schedule appointments with me due to my crazy schedule as a nurse. After trying for over a month to get back into him I gave up. I’m seeing one of the partners in that same office. I’m not thrilled about starting over with someone else but no choice, unfortunately, and the new therapist seems to think that she can wiggle me in despite my crazy schedule. If you have a very free and open schedule that works with his I’m sure you will probably give him a five star rating. I’m just disappointed.
