I just received a bill from Scott Cooper for a PCR Covid test I got while in the parking lot after waiting over an hour with my two year old. I have been billed $738.54 for a singular PCR Covid test, which my insurance company negotiated down to $677.98. I got one for myself and my toddler as we had Covid-like symptoms and were trying to be responsible before going into in-person school after Spring Break. I repeat the swabs were done in our truck in the parking lot. I did my toddler's with the aide's instruction. I saw the swabber for maybe 3 minutes. The doctor, who I presume was Scott Cooper, video called and told my partner and I we all tested negative for Covid and the flu (maybe 5 minute phone call). That is all he said. End of call. $239.64 billed for an office visit and $498.90 billed for Xray and lab - times two. We called ahead and confirmed they are a preferred provider. I guess poor on me to not ask about if they manipulated charges on top of CARES act paid for Covid tests.
