Not hEDS knowledgeable
I have the trifecta of hEDS, MCAS, and Dysautonomia. I know it is very challenging to find medical providers knowledgeable about these issues and how they affect our health and bodies. I also know that I prefer to see providers with some basic understanding of these complexities, and at least at the time I saw Scott Ely, he was not knowledgeable. I was having an MCAS attack all day, and during my time with him - and still kept my appt. My MCAS symptoms were bothering him, but instead of taking a min to ask what was going on, he instead told me to stop. There was no stopping the flushing I was experiencing in my skin. Besides this missed opportunity for learning about and understanding the patient in front of him - he did make a referral I needed. So - good for that.
