Dr. Scott Hoye, PSY.D

Dr. Hoye was very attentive and understanding of what help I was seeking and what information I was trying to learn to guide my mental health process. He was very clear, asked appropriate questions, and explained things in a very conscientious manner. I will definitely recommend to family and friends.

I saw Dr. Hoye for couples therapy. His interventions were extremely beneficial in getting us in a calm, constructive environment where we could both openly discuss our feelings. He is quick to pick up on emotional cues and made us very comfortable with opening up. I liked that he was willing to challenge our existing attitudes and force us to really re-evaluate the cognition behind our behavior. If you are serious about having difficult conversations and confronting your issues head-on, Dr. Hoye is your guy.

He made me and my husband very uncomfortable, we were there for marriage counselling and Dr Hoye unprompted made up a bunch of graphically specific sexual scenarios. We quit after two sessions when we had enough of this because it was so strange and uncomfortable. When we refused to come back to talk about why we didn’t want to see him anymore he suddenly “diagnosed” me with borderline disorder behind my back, privately to my husband, which seemed very random and I unprofessional.

Dr. Hoye is a very kind and patient psychologist who is very knowledgeable . He stays relavent with current research and varied approaches to psychotherapy and hypnosis. Hence, beyond his impressive creditals and experience lies a genuine therapeutic experience. I feel Dr. Hoye's interventions have more than helped me gain valuable insight into my issues and concerns which are complex and considered rare but most in the psychology world. I'm sure you'll find your experience to be positive.
