Disheartening service
Disheartening service I was referred to Shaqueen and things seemed Ok at first as we got to know each other, but there were many moments where I did not feel heard or validated. There were times when I expressed a concern or emotion, and there wasn't much advice or feedback being offered besides the occasional "How did that make you feel?" and reiterating what I said. I felt very dismissed. I then, unfortunately, had a family loss come up where I had to cancel my appointments, which I did in advance and instead of reaching out to me to see if I was ok because canceling wasn't something I did , I was instead discharged entirely without warning. This also resulted in me not being able to speak to my psych and receive treatment. I wished that as a therapist who's profession is to care for their clients she would have atleast done a wellness call instead of sending a cold discharge letter in the mail during a difficult time in my life.
