I am deeply disappointed with the experience I had with Sharon. From the outset, their approach was problematic, manifesting in rudeness, intrusive behavior, and a concerning lack of professionalism. I initially sought therapy specifically for EMDR, a treatment that was not only promised but was central to my decision to choose this therapist. Unfortunately, despite this clear agreement and treatment goals I wanted to meet, EMDR was provided for 5 minutes throughout 4 months of treatment. The therapist seemed to prioritize staying in the "getting to trust phase," which felt excessive and impeded progress as I was faced with frustration when I had been prepared for EMDR and was told “next session” for months. Their apparent lack of confidence was evident and detrimental to the therapeutic process. Rather than providing a supportive environment, the sessions often felt like a platform for the therapist to assert their own opinions, overshadowing my personal experiences and perspectives. Their approach was not only unhelpful but also dismissive, creating a dynamic where it felt as if they felt they knew me better than I knew myself, which was far from the truth. This made it difficult to engage in meaningful self-reflection or progress due to there insertion of opinions. Overall, the experience was far from what one would expect from a professional in the mental health field. I cannot recommend Sharon based on my experience.

I was met with respect and compassion about my issues and concerns. I felt no judgment on my past life or choices, she was caring and comforting. We work through the past with acceptance not judgement and I was able to move forward

Requested EMDR therapy, but after months of counseling she never performed any EMDR. Kept in the “getting to trust” level with her. A total waste of time and money.

After several visits she became almost rude and condescending. EMDR was always far from reach even though my case was pretty mild and I was excited to try it. I switched therapists after reaching out to her asking to book ahead because I was frustrated not making progress. She had nothing available for me and her email responses were very cold. Now, After starting with a new therapist, I was quickly diagnosed with ocd based anxiety and need a different type of therapy all together and talk therapy with Sharon only made me feel worse. ERP is already in progress with my new therapist. EMDR isn’t even recommended. I feel in much better hands with my new, kind therapist. I wish I would have trusted my gut at that first meeting with Sharon. I’m sure she is a good fit for some. Not for I

I would not hesitate to recommend Sharon as a therapist. She has been a mentor and a wise partner on my own personal journey into the field.
