Stunned Into Silence
We booked our first appointment & regretfully, had to cancel the morning of due to a sudden work conflict; Unfortunately, my husband called the wrong number to cancel & we looked like a "no-show". We identified the problem the next day & called back three times (leaving kind and apologetic voicemails) to reschedule. After the 3rd attempt, Dr. Miller called to say her "policy is not to rebook any patients that cancel within 24 hours or no show because her practice is too full". When I sympathized and kindly shared that it would have been good to know when booking as that may have changed things, Dr. Miller immediately became irate and responded with what can only be described as a nasty tone - "Really? It would have been good to know on the front end? Really? You would have paid the $250 fee?" I was STUNNED by the speed of escalation/tone and made no reply. For someone dealing with complex & often fragile emotions as a profession, the exchange was staggeringly unprofessional.

We’ve seen a lot of psychologists over many years, and she’s by far the best. She’s highly qualified, intelligent, intuitive, and compassionate. I highly recommend Dr. Miller.

Call her a divorce counselor not a marriage counselor. No knowledge of personality disorders. Agree with other reviewer, thinks she knows it all (and will tell you as much) and make horrible statements and recommendations based on lazy thinking and hubristic attitude. If you care about your marriage, stay away from her.

She oversimplifies and believes she has people figured out without taking the time necessary to truly understand the relationship dynamics. She coaxed me back into an unhealthy situation and now our entire family is paying the price.
