Dr. Shawn C. Joy, PA-C and his team were excellent at ensuring that an extremely scary unexpected ER visit was as manageable as possible. I had woken up from excruciating pain and could not move and was confused by what could be causing it. Dr. Joy was great at communicating my symptoms, explaining what tests needed to be done & why. He was detailed in addressing what was happening to me, caring, patient and professional. In the past, I have had horrible experiences with doctors that overlooked important information or made my symptoms feel embarrassing or invalid. Dr. Joy & his dedicated team were elite in their process, especially given the pace of the ER. I'm on a better path to seeking treatment for what brought me to the ER thanks to Dr. Joy! More doctors need to be like him.
