Shelly Ebert, FNP

I am telling you of an experience my daughter had with Shelly Ebert, Nurse Practioner. My daughter is 24 years old and didn't want to write this, but I feel it is imperative. She came to see Shelly because of increased pain and blood flow from menstrual cramps. Shelly Ebert said, "So, you are 24 years old and not married? Men are not attracted to you because of your male scent. She continued to explain it, saying she had a high level of testosterone and men are subconsciously smell that and are not attracted to her. My daughter was in shock. She then stated she has PCOS. All the symptoms are completely opposite of of anything she has. She did not order any tests to confirm and just put her on birth control. I took her to a MD Gynecologist. She told him what Shelly had told her. He was apalled, she did not have PCOS, and said she was very unprofessional. The worst is how this could affect any young woman. I am so shocked how insensitve she was. I would never recommend her.

Shelly is amazing! She is knowledgeable first and foremost, but also is intuitive regarding women and women's health. She listens, takes time and has the experience needed to meet my needs.

I really like Shelly. She is very personable and shows genuine concern for her patients.

I had originally asked to have an annual check physical to go with my birth control refill because every provider I have ever seen has required this. I thought she was nice and then I get the bill and because she coded it as a refill I get to pay $170 where physical is free.They are very Unhonest and I feel it is to make more money because I had asked to actually be seen in the first place. I was a brand new patient and you would think they would assess you before prescribing whatever they want.
