Shelly Woertink

Shelly has been a huge blessing to our family. She has helped our 4 year old adopted child, as well as each member of he family, transition to our home. We have been working with Shelly for years, and we have learned how to better parent a child with trauma. Shelly truly cares about all of the family members, giving honest and sometimes hard truth, as well as patience and support. She has made house calls when needed and been an advocate for our kids at school and in other activities. I truly believe we would not be where we are without having Shelly working with us along the way.

Shelly has been working with our adopted 14 yo son for several years. We continued therapy because she worked with us and our child, now a teen, navigating through development needs and stages. She was an advocate for us with the public schools and was available in times of crisis. She has a gift for helping kids/parents working through childhood trauma. I would highly recommend Ms. Woertink

Finding this office was an absolute godsend. We have worked with many providers for our family and none has compared to the progress and guidance we have received in this office. Although we have faced very challenging situations, we had the knowledgable guidance of Shelly Woertink every step of the way. I have sought counseling with a few different therapists for both myself and my son. Shelly is by far the best and most knowledgeable therapist I have worked with. She is understanding and supportive, however, she will see through you if you're trying to put one over on her. She is right on the money about changes that are needed and necessary and will hold your feet to the fire if you make excuses. Although things are hard to hear sometimes, she is totally non-judgmental and loving.
