Honest and incredibly insightful
Many counselors just regurgitate back to you what you say, and you spend years talking in circles. Stacy isn’t one of those. She gives you a different perspective and sometimes it’s one you don’t want to hear, but it’s that perspective that’s going to help you grow the most. My husband didn’t like her because she helped identify his flaws. And he wasn’t ready to hear that. I welcomed the feedback. I needed to know what I didn’t or could not see. Stacy was amazing at opening my eyes And giving me a different way to look at things. With the new Vision, I could grow as a person.

Unprofessional and Unkind
I'm extremely disappointed in my experience with Stacey, and I don't believe she is fit to be a mental health counselor in any way. In session, she was invalidating and unhelpful. I left sessions with her feeling worse than when I went in... She was also extremely unprofessional in handling insurance, payments, and client interactions. I was charged more than double what I was supposed to be because she 'accepts insurance' but refuses to file claims with insurance herself. I guess clients are supposed to pay for sessions up front and in full, and then file a claim themselves with their insurance to receive reimbursement. It's a completely backward and inefficient way for her to 'accept' insurance (also an essentially unheard-of process for providers to use, especially in the mental health field). And when I tried to reach out to her and ask about being over-charged, she completely ignored me and offered no explanation. Stacey is unprofessional and rude. I would not recommend her.

Stacey did anything but put me at ease. 1. Rather than go through the proper insurance channels, she billed me and told me submitting insurance claims is a patient problem. (Funny that I've never had to go behind the counter at other doctor's offices and submit their insurance claims...) 2. She told me she'd never had a patient like me, that I was the worst she'd ever had. Simply because I didn't understand her contract and wanted clarification. (If you work with her, don't ask questions. Just take the "advice" and run.) 3. She became angry and lost her temper on multiple occasions. 4. She attacked my character and my perspective. Yes, therapy is for guidance, but it should not be an authoritarian dictatorship. 5. I also got the impression that part of why she had zero compassion was due to her reigious, conservative, Trump supporting beliefs. 6. She double books appointments 7. Her "counseling" was no better than a self-taught practioner.

I wish I could give a negative start rating. This woman has no business counselling anyone. She is it in for the $$$$$. She is paid copious amounts of money to testify at trial and write bogus reports for attorneys. It is scary that she has a license. She does more damage than good.
