Mr Brown waited all day to return a call for pain medication (having surgery 4/1/21, my first and only request). He was apparently doubtful I was having intense pain, and came across as argumentative. I finally said I would just bear up with the pain and thanked him for the call back. No empathy, awkward and inadequate appraisal skills. His behavior made me question my decision for surgery with this team but I trust Dr Kolovich implicitly. As a retired NP, and past president of the American Society of Pain Management Nurses (ASPMN, 2005), I felt both pain and a profound disappointment.
