Dr. Silverstein was not helpful in addressing the issues raised during our sessions. He exhibited an impatient demeanor at times, and appeared disinterested in discussing the root of the problem. I left each session feeling invalidated and unheard.

I was recommended to him by my psychiatrist. He preferred to talk about himself and his life than helping me. Moreover I had my spouse with me on a couple of visits and he spent more time talking with my spouse while I sat there staring at the wall. There are better therapists out there who care more about you.

I had the same experience as the previous anonymous. When I called to make an appointment, Dr. Silverstein was very rude. The mistake I made was that I actually followed through with two scheduled appointments. The first thing he said at the beginning of my first appointment (paraphrased) as I entered the room was that I'm running behind, so let's hurry up and get started. During my second (final) appointment this guy with his motormouth hardly gave me a chance to get a word in edgewise.

Called to make an appointment with him but since he was rude I decided for a different guy in the practice. My wife had the same experience a few months later!
