Dr. Steven Ulc, OD

Dr. Ulc I'd an amazing eye Dr and always get the prescription perfect. The front staff is always friendly and accommodating. However, the newest assistant that was taken on ( new to us) is a nightmare. She was rude and nasty. She kept saying she "did not have" the time to deal with my 8 year old child because she had other clients. She demanded I have her stand because she didn't want to adjust her equipment and chair. She then demanded "can't someone hold her head still, I need to get this done" my daughter did not want drops from her to dilate her eyes, would you ? She was nasty and does not belong in health care or anywhere children. Very traumatic experience. Previously, I never had an issue at this office. The doctor has always been great.

Dr. Ulc is AMAZING -- I wish I didn't have to leave the practice as a patient. However, The office, and their billing manners leave much to be desired. I called with a grave concern about how my visit went - How they submitted to my health insurance without advising - without telling me they were out of network - and told me I was paid in full that day -- I went for an emergency, which was very well tended to. I was very appreciative and felt blessed to have Dr. Ulc as my Doctor -- I just called today to nicely convey what had happened that day - and had been replied to with: It's not my fault you don't know how your insurance works -- and went on to repeat herself numerous times. When your client has serious concerns about their experience, all you had to do was state that you were sorry, and that you would pass the information on. Your patients want to feel that you care about their visit - not just collecting your money. Please learn about Customer Service.
