Was so shocked, I reported him to licensing board
My adult daughter who had recently taken the huge step of breaking off an engagement took a massive leap of bravery and scheduled a counseling appointment Life Connection. The person whom she had been recommended to see was not accepting new patients and was offered to see Stuart Hook. Fateful wrong choice. Mr. Hook mentioned a comment to his "patient" who is an adult transracial adoptee with the phrase "...... you guys are the ones that brought COVID over here......". While she has encountered racism in the grocery store (e.g. "Go back to where you came from...." and the like, I was STUNNED that she encountered such a comment from a professionally licensed therapist whom she entrusted to bravely come in and meet with and considering sharing vulnerable parts of her life journey. Absolutely stunning that he is allowed to practice with that frame of mind. Even if he thinks that, what "therapist" with any ounce of professionalism would SAY SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO A PATIENT? Wow!
