Started out fine ended in a Birth Trauma diagnosis
I felt like she was personable at my first appointment, but at later appointments I felt rushed often, and unheard. I brought up having extreme pain in my ankle and she dismissed my concern as a normal side effect of pregnancy- as it turned out I needed surgery to fix it. When I gave birth, she broke my water for her convenience after telling me I hadn’t progressed any, and I was later told that before she had broken it, I was actually dilated to a 9. While I was in labor, I told her and the nurses repeatedly that I felt everything and something was wrong with my epidural. They brushed me off and told me I was fine. I found out after I delivered that they did not refill the bag for my epidural. She knew this, and still a stitched me up with no lidocaine while I cried and begged for her to wait. They brought the lidocaine into the room after she had already stitched me up, and then told them “it’s okay, I don’t need it anymore”. I have postnatal PTSD from my experience. 0/5
