Amazing
I have been seeing Dr. Mendez for the past two years and I can honestly say that she has saved me. She does not sugar coat anything so if you are looking for a therapist that just listens and offers simple questions like "how does that make you feel" then Dr. Mendez is not for you. She gives you the tools and knowledge to succeed in making changes in your life. I am so lucky that I found her. I would give her 10 stars if I could!

My daughter is an addict who has worked with Dr. Mendez. I truly believe she helped save her life. Not only does she really and truly care about her patients, she cares about their loved ones. She helped me understand this wretched disease and taught me skills in being able to lovingly communicate with my daughter. Those lessons have helped me in all of my relationships. I can’t recommend her enough. I feel that this is truly her life’s work and she does it amazingly well. I will forever be grateful to her for returning my precious and loving daughter to me.

I have seen many therapists in my life but none like Dr. Mendez. She has an innate sense of being able to see core issues and bring attention to them. When Dr. Mendez came into my life I was broken physically and mentally. My family was losing hope and so was I. I had lost custody of my daughter and had just about destroyed my family relationship. The effort and dedication that she put into helping me and family was incredible. She is firm and direct but also has a heart of gold. I owe her my life and with out her expertise I do not believe that I would be writing this today. I had the ability to change by working with her and I am forever grateful.

I hold Dr. Mendez in the highest esteem. It's difficult to put into words how truly dedicated she is to her patients and her work. It is also hard to put into words how much being in therapy with her transformed my life and how much I admire her. I am also at a loss for words to say just how much she has meant to me and how grateful I am to have have had her as my therapist. She is tough but loving. You will work and grow. If you are lucky enough to have this woman as your therapist take it and experience it for yourself!

Dr. Mendez's care exceeded any and all of the expectations I had of a Substance Abuse Counselor. In a very short period of time, she dialed into my areas of strength and aided me in using these to further my recovery. She helped me bridge the gap between residential care to Intensive outpatient care and, finally, to seeing her weekly on a one to one basis. Dr. Mendez is truly gifted and she has been an integral part of my recovery.
