Susanne Meyers, NP

Susanne Meyers is a caring, competent, and extremely knowledgeable nurse practitioner. She always answers right away when I have a question or run low on my medication. The office number listed is not the correct phone number for her office. Additionally, she is located in Setauket, not Port Jefferson Station, as listed. I know several people that bring their kids to her and they are so happy their children are in her care. And by the way, Briana (in the comment above) You & I were working together and you actually referred me to Susanne. Your sister told me you stopped showing up for appointments and after not seeing Susanne for a year expected her to just give you a prescription. People need to own their own short falls. Susanne Meyers patients are SO lucky to be in her care & they know it!

Susanne has been caring for our Son for the past 5 years and has truly made a huge difference in his quality of life. She has been there not only for our son, but us as parents when we were struggling early on with his issues. We wouldn't want to deal with anyone else.

My family and I have been working with Susanne for years and the experience has been great. There is a little delay with voicemails, but her voice message states they are only in the office a couple nights a week. She’s knowledgeable about what medications she prescribed and has always answered my questions whenever I had any. Lastly, she really listens to what you have to say especially when advocating for a medication change. I highly recommend her.

Heed the reviews that detail distressing experiences with this practitioner as she delivers fully to that end. Susanne proved to be unprofessional, incompetent and uncaring. She lacks the ability to listen, to keep to her appointments and to provide help when needed. It felt as if we were managing HER in addition to the challenges of our child. It was very hard to find an NP with the demands of the pandemic. We would have been better off without her. Do your own due diligence but take the critical reviews of this “professional” seriously before you decide to engage her. She was a tremendous disappointment. One star for this review is beyond generous.

I wish I could give her NO stars. Like other reviews, I have left her messages daily for a week begging for a return call during extreme crisis and she doesn’t call back when she is the only person in the position to help by filling an important prescription or providing medical information to allow me to receive crisis medical services. I have been out of meds for a week with my state of mind spiraling out because of the abrupt stop in medication and she doesn’t return my calls to help with the prescription. It’s mind blowing that someone in a role that is supposed to help people is so unresponsive, disinterested and doesn’t care. I have felt helpless calling her every day and getting no response. It’s awful. I have no respect for her whatsoever. Her lack of response is personally offensive when your struggling and you can’t get a call back. People in her profession shouldn’t treat it like a PART TIME JOB.

Susanne Meyers is a terrible excuse of what a medical professional should be. My daughter has been struggling with depression and not only did Susanne Meyers not return a phone call when my daughter had an issue with her meds, like the previous review, she never increased the dosage or changed the prescription when my daughter told her that she wasn't feeling any better. My daughter is away at school and struggling needlessly thanks to this woman. What a disgrace!

She is absolutely amazing. We have had some really awful psychiatric experiences over the last 18 months trying to find someone and then we met her. She could not have treated us better.

She is awful. I realize I need a prescription filled about a week before and I call everyday with no luck. I finally ran out and I'm going through horrible withdrawals and she doesn't care. This is the 2nd time. DO NOT GO TO HER.
