Sydney Seyfert, NP

Some of the most dysfunctional people end up in the field of psychiatry, which rings true for Sydney. She is unprofessional, cannot keep office staff, breaks patient/nurse practitioner confidentiality. She talks more than she listens, overprescribes, and if you disagree with her, she will cut you off, and fire you leaving you to fend for yourself. She's a master gaslighter. It's her way or the highway. She flip flops from saying she treats adults to children and teens. When she wants to terminate treatment with an adult, its under the guise of a switching to work with children and teens. Children and teens don't have the maturity to challenge her or ask questions as adults do. Sydney uses an air of superiority to get by. She has no idea what she's doing. We would NEVER let her treat our children.

First and foremost, take a look at Sydney's track record in Missoula. Every single office space she has moved into with other professionals, hasn't lasted. Why? She's crazy and doesn't play well with others. Additionally, while Sydney makes a great first impression, it's a bit further into the stages of treatment where the red flags begin to show up. She overprescribes and then admonishes and scolds a patient for taking the very medication and dosage she prescribed. She is a mix of contradictions and her diagnoses are way off. I was given one diagnosis, which was in alignment with that of my therapist. By the time Sydney was done with me, I was given a diagnosis that most professionals would see as a big red flag. It would be very difficult to find anyone to work with me IF the diagnosis she gave me was correct, which it was not. I reported Sydney to the Board of Behavioral Health among other agencies. She won't last much longer in Missoula. Sydney's business is a sinking ship. Beware!

Have been with her for my son for about 10 yrs. She is just wonderful with him and is very knowledgeable about all his conditions. She is quick to catch side effects of meds and listens to both of us about how he is doing. She encourages caseworkers to join appointments and works very well with other members of his medical team.

She is an idiot!

Sydney is the most incredible ARNP in this field that I have ever been to... and I have way too much experience! I have been dealing with PTSD from the loss of my son for 13 years, along with chronic depression. In the short time I've been meeting with her, I feel like someone finally gets me & is capable of explaining my struggles in ways that actually makes sense. I wish she could be my weekly counselor, but sadly that is not her position. Her capacity to empathize was crucial for me.
