Tamara Severn, MFT

My sessions were incredibly beneficial, and I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Tamara. The obvious is her kindness, compassion, and genuine empathy. I was immediately comfortable with her and felt so accepted. I sought Tamara out as I heard beautiful things about her, and I was curious about EMDR, which was a wonderfully helpful and life-changing experience. She helped me with past trauma, current life struggles, relationships and more. Amid my own struggles, one of my family members became in crisis. Through individual counseling, Tamara willingly helped me navigate that time and provided many helpful resources. I am so grateful for the wonderful counseling she offered which not only helped me but my family too. I highly recommend her services and have to many friends. In the therapy realm, she is one of our community's greats!

I started therapy again after I had hit a very low point in my life. I had seen Tamara previously before covid and was glad that she had availability for me, as its not always easy to find a therapist that you are comfortable with. It wasn't easy getting myself out of the major depression I was in but with her help and the help of my physician, I was able to use the tools/resources she provided and started seeing progress. A year later,I am no longer in therapy and feel like I have an arsenal of resources that I can go back to again and again. Its comforting to be able to take control of your life and feel confident that you will be ok,even on the days you struggle. I am forever grateful!

I'm writing this review to let others know how much Tamara Severn has helped me. I've seen many therapists over my lifetime but never felt this accepted for being just who I am. I knew from the first time I saw her that she was "on my side" and was focused on helping me work through the shame I've been carrying all these years. Tamara was spot on about my trauma and how to help me. On top of being an insightful and wise therapist, she's got a great sense of humor and laughter is some of my best medicine!

This woman is unscrupulous. She is beholden to insurance companies.
