Tamara Tucker-Ham, NP

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Tamara Tucker-Ham. I visited her seeking medical attention, but I felt neglected as she did not prescribe the necessary medication despite my clear need. This was very frustrating and left me feeling uncared for. Additionally, during a discussion about diet, she made a remark that rice is only common in poor countries, which I found to be insensitive and prejudiced. This comment was not only inaccurate but also made me very uncomfortable. Furthermore, Dr. Tamara Tucker-Ham often runs late with appointment times, causing patients to wait far beyond their scheduled slots. This lack of respect for her patients’ time further added to my dissatisfaction. My experience with Dr. Tamara Tucker-Ham was far from positive. I do not recommend her.

I saw her for about 1 year, until my last two appointments ended in frustration. The first was cancelled day-of because of her absence, the rebooked appointment - which was another two weeks out - I show up and the clinic no longer accepts my insurance. With zero notice! Tamara is fine, but does tend to push paleo eating heavily. Very energetic and upbeat though, and fairly easy to talk to. I had one well-woman exam and she was professional and not rough. However, I felt she didn't do enough to adjust my medication after reviewing my labs, and the appointments were rushed so I often had to ask again about referrals she said she would note down. My medical records were blatantly wrong, but I don't think that's her fault. I would say if she moves to a different clinic other than Centro Medico, she would be fine.

Tamara Ham is very knowledgeable and intuitive. What I admire most about her is that she holds me accountable. She takes the time to go over the root cause of my problem,instead of just pushing medication. I know it may not be popular these days, I want a magic pill too, but the body does not work like that. If you have any serious condition and truly want to reverse it she is your pathway to health. Very kind and sincere.

Mrs. Tucker is very rude and called my wife fat in her office today. Every time you schedule an appointment and show up on time it takes an hour to get to see her. Her every solution is to go to the gym not matter the problem and refuses to see other solutions. I am absolutely disappointed in her performance.
