Tanya Sorrell, NP

I have been a patient of Dr. Sorrell’s for a long time and she is always been great. You can email and hear back within a short amount of time. I know my mental health is safe with her. She is the best. If you need a mental health provider, you are only helping yourself in giving her a try!

I love my visits with Dr. Sorell. Her warmth, intuition and perception makes every appt productive and assuring. I have been with her for years. She hasn’t confidence and I have had great success because of her. However, as of the past year customer service during the appointment making process has been the worst I have ever experienced. Communication is absent and one sided. Communication is done only through emails and voicemail and response time is unprofessionally long. Dr Sorell is definitely worth the wait and frustration of the appt booking process tho. Just be prepared and very open with your schedule as appt times are often given with 0-2 days notice.

Dr. Sorrell is an outstanding psych provider. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about psych meds and how to treat symptoms. Because she teaches other psych NPs, she is very knowledgeable about new medications coming out. She takes the time to explain things in easily understood language. She is readily available and offers telemed appointments. Best of all, she leaves patients with hope. She is by far the best psych provider in SW Arizona.

Tanya is one of the most knowledgeable mental health professionals I know. She has helped my son and family friends. I highly recommend her to anyone needing this kind of assistance.

Will not return calls. Tried repeatedly over 3 days. Voicemail is full, which shows it is not being listened to. 1 star is too much

If I could give 0 stars I would. The communication with this office and practitioner are extremely unprofessional! All calls go to an answering service which then you may or may not get an email back. Prescriptions were not called to pharmacy as promised until pressured to do so. Scheduling is ridiculous and video chatting is a joke. This is the worst medical/medication management I've ever experienced! Do not waste your time or money on this woman!!!!!!!

DO NOT SEE THIS PERSON! Please save your money and go see someone else that takes insurance. Insurance will not reimburse you for your payment! Also, its terrible to communicate anything with this office. The phone number is to just a generic line where they take your number and someone will call you usually 24 hours later to schedule or to answer your questions. Extremely hard to get in contact with, forgets to write prescriptions and insists on video chatting, which we rarely receive the link to and if we do it's generally at least a half hour after scheduled time. During actual visits she rushes through and vaguely explains things, the staff was nice, but I found out that they don't work for Dr. Sorrel, and are incapable of handling her scheduling. Would not recommend due to the large amount of problems we've had with her.
