Tara Alhadeff, LMHC

Tara was the primary therapist (residential) at Life Skills South Florida for our young adult child. There were instances where I could rave about Tara and times when I was disappointed. Tara's expertise in DBT training and her understanding of our child's condition were evident. She often went above and beyond in terms of kindness and empathy, but there were also moments when this was lacking, which had a negative impact on our child. This was particularly tough because our child wasn't able to call us. At the end of the day, we're all human, and I can imagine that working in residential care five days a week can be draining even for the best therapists. However, overall communication with parents was lacking. Emails, texts, and voicemails were often not returned, which was upsetting given the limited access we had to our child. The therapist is our primary source of information, so timely communication is crucial.

Tara is an excellent therapist. I was very impressed with her attention to detail, her ability to make me feel comfortable sharing, and her overall friendly nature. Tara has helped me identify unhealthy thought patterns and aided me in combating those behaviors. I was in a residential program where Tara was my therapist, and all of her clients seemed to be very pleased to have her as their therapist. I am a huge fan of Tara and am very grateful for the time that I spent with her.
