Teresa Hurst is the worst person I have seen for psychiatric care. Both my sister and I have had the displeasure of seeing her. When I saw her, she threatened to have me committed when I shared my suicide ideation. I did not actually want to hurt myself. She threatened to call the police on me. How can someone be trusted to help you without fear of being forcibly committed? And then have to suffer a huge medical bill on top of that? You can’t get better with that looming over your head. My sister was also seeing her, but Teresa Hurst was keeping her meds hostage. Forcing her to come spend $25 on a copay every single month just for a one month prescription that NEVER changed. In addition, she moved to a new state recently and was out of her meds. It takes MONTHS to see a new psych, so she called her and asked for an emergency refill to last her until she can see someone. Teresa refused. Absolutely awful to let your patient suffer through withdrawal of antipsychotics.

I saw Teresa for the first time this week. She was attentive, caring and listened to MY needs and concerns. I am actually recommending my son to visit her. Highly recommend her.
