Terri Coonrad-Hershkowitz

I can't say enough about Terri and how she treated me as a patient. She listened.... every visit she listened. She prescibed the perfect dose of medicine to help me get through hard situations. I moved away and I can't find anyone to fill her shoes. Don't take her for granted... she is fantastic!

She’s very understanding, listens attentively. Gives honest feedback whether it’s what you want to hear or not. Would recommend to all

Terri really threw my health off track, and she had me taking a lot of medicine that I did not need. The saddest thing is that she comes off as judgemental and acts as though she knows more about your life than you do. She’s laughed in my face when I brought up personal concerns and she wrote off my (later diagnosed) BPD as “anxiety.” BPD and general anxiety are many oceans apart, and that says a lot about her credibility as a practitioner. It’s impossible, and flat out wrong to fill a young kid up with several prescriptions after asking them just a few simple questions. There’s nothing really positive to say about her.

I often feel very judged going to see Terri and at this point I dread it. I agree with what the other person has said above, that she tries to write everything off as “anxiety.” I don’t feel like our conversations get anywhere and I have to give and I have to give her the answers she wants to hear.

This is a "third" person review but after reading another review it sounds like my daughter could have written it, she has had the same experience. Repeatedly referring to a medication that my daughter is not on. Calling in the wrong prescription but blaming on her front desk. Trying to prescribe a drug that is in the same class of drugs my daughter has had horrible side effects on (through genetic testing that Terri did, those results support my daughters non tolerance of this class of drugs)

Nice enough but constantly forgets my meds. Prescribed me a med I had an adverse reaction to years ago (which she knew about) instead of the med I was currently on & needed a refill of. Always says the wrong drug name when asking about side effects, even when I correct her. Said my side effects were because of a med I'd been on for ~1 year w/o significant dose change, instead of the newer med I was on whose dose she had just doubled. Once I needed to reschedule, couldn't get in for a month.

I would not recommend her. She is a Lexapro saleswoman through and through. She writes off most all mental health issues to some manifestation of anxiety but doesn't go in-depth about what that exactly means. Despite my telling her that I was not interested several times, she would keep pushing Lexapro. She has poor listening skills and doesn't care about patients who may look different than her.
