My sister highly recommended Dr. Ruggiero. I had had surgery for a retinal detachment at a prestigious Boston hospital that left me with worse vision in my eye--even though the doctor assured me it would be the same after the surgery. Things felt so impersonal in the Boston hospital--I felt like an object going through an assembly line. I now have a cataract--a common result from the initial surgery. I wanted to see someone who would be thorough but who wouldn't be rushing in and out of the room. I am so glad my sister recommended Dr. Ruggiero. She was friendly, very thorough, and didn't rush me. I sensed that she really cares about her patients. It was refreshing to see a doctor who's excellent in her field and who works with compassion for her patients. I highly recommend Dr. Ruggiero.

After not getting any better even though I kept going back to my original optometrist n
