Texts me an hour before our first appointment to say that he has to cancel and reschedule due to a "family emergency," which sounds like, "The dog ate my homework," every time I hear that excuse. I'd already set aside a good chunk of my day to meet with him, so this last-minute cancellation really messed up my morning. Kaiser Permanente had referred me to him, and I only took the appointment, in lieu of an actual Kaiser therapist, because he was nearby and there was availability within a couple days. I saw that his average ratings on review sites were mediocre, but I figured I'd give him a chance. Now I wish Kaiser would vet their outside contractors better. When you impose a $100 late-cancellation fee on your patients, and then you turn around and do this to a patient...so completely unprofessional. Do better.
