Rude and impatient. This includes the senior staff and the OD himself. Will not go there again.

I had an eye exam with Dr. Hom. He was very knowledgeable and provided excellent service. He gave some recommendations about the selection of glasses. I would definitely recommend him. After my visit, I made an appointment for my family member to also see him!

Dr. Tony Hom is very rude and disrespectful. His staff is nice but he is very short with people. He doesn’t explain things clearly and kept changing the price. I called asking for a script and he wouldn’t even let me talk. He started yelling at me on the phone. Plus he keeps changing the prices. One minute he tells me one price the next minute he gives me a complete different price. I don’t appreciate being spoken to like a child and not allowing me to even finish my sentence. Don’t go there

I've been going to Dr. Hom's office ever since I can remember, and I've always had quick and easy appointments. Contacts, sunglasses, and prescription glasses are ready to be picked up in a short amount of time afterwards.

He diagnosed me with astigmatism and so when I ordered a pair of glasses (somewhere else since they had very limited and expensive options) with his prescription, I had the worst headache. I had to exchange my glasses with just the regular grade minus the astigmatism and that's when it worked well for me. I called back to tell him my experience and asked if he could just give me an updated prescription (without astigmatism). He yelled on the phone insisting that the astigmatism was correct m =(

My husband was dissatisfied with the prescription eyeglasses. Gave him headaches. My child with OK lenses did not have good vision (full satisfaction), always have problem one eye versus another, despite wearing them for the maximum time at night. We wasted so much time with him, finally, we gave up and switch to another doctor. Very impatient with us.

My husband and I have Davis Vision and were patients of Dr. Hom's. We went for a contact lens fitting, but Dr. Hom said that Davis Vision did not reimburse him well for the contact lens fitting last year so he said that I would have to pay an extra $70 despite my 0$ copay for contact lens fitting as well as order contacts through him. I just spoke with my insurance company who said that they paid him $60 last year, so I guess it was not enough for him.

Staff is very unprofessional and care only about the money. Will charge your insurance without prior authorization, be very careful if using this practice. Only upside is ease of appointments because other patients seem to have understood the level of service here as well.
