A PhD doesn't mean good therapist
Should've known from first reaching out that he was going to be mediocre. Sent consent form and ID/insurance like he asked but didn't get back to me. I followed up a few days later and he gave me a time, but no further instructions. I email him the day of, asking how we'll chat and he asks for my documents again as if he lost them when they're already in the same email chain. I send them again, but he still doesn't tell me how we'll chat. At the 1st session, I explain the problems I have with family. He doesn't give me much insight except for statements like the stereotypical "how does that make you feel?" or "what do you think you should do about it?" My gut feeling during the entire session was that he was trying to burn time and collect his fees. Gave him another in a 2nd session. Waste of time as it was the same thing and I decided to drop him. The first therapist I had was an LMFT and he was way better -- he actually gave me insights on how I can approach my situations.

AVOID THIS DOCTOR!! WASTE OF TIME After reading all the good reviews, I was very excited to see Dr. Wu for my depression and ADHD problems. However, it turned out to be a horrible experience because he just doesn't give you any constructive advices and talking to him would only make you feel more depressed. During my first visit he just asked me lots of questions about my symptoms. Second visit he just asked me questions from an ADHD questionnaire that could be found online. He ended the session(which should be 45 minutes) at round 25 minutes. The third visit he told me I have ADHD and the only advise I received from him is to make a detailed schedule. Nothing else. I later found another psychologist to have talk therapy and turned out to be a totally different experience than from him. I feel much better after each session and learned lots of techniques from the psychologist.

I took my grandson to see Dr. Tony for ADHD assessment and disruptive behavior treatment after his pre-school teacher recommended Dr. Wu. I was very impressive with Dr. Wu's ability to engage my 3-year-old grandson. He is getting much better after 4 months of treatment. Thank you, Dr. Wu !!!

As a careful consumer, I did my research before I selected my therapist. I looked through Dr. Wu's profiles and decided to give him a try. I definitely recommend him highly. Dr. Tony Wu was wonderful, professional, and very friendly. He attended to what I had to say and offered many wonderful strategies. I was quite pleased with his services.

Just had my first and last appointment with dr. Wu I am not impressed and frankly very disappointed. I came and was excited being that as he was prompt in calling me back. He said he had an opening at 8. Great I can find child care. Then he calls and says 5. I said ok but asked if I may bring my 1 year old son. He said it was ok. I let him know this wasnโ€™t going to be on going & that I would be available on FRIDAYS CHILD FREE and he said bring your insurance card and iD. Cool I just came and went in 15 minutes. I believe he began to become to be annoyed with my son. Heโ€™s all over the place being that he just learned to walk 3 days ago. Which I also let him know. It began to be too much so I asked if we can meet on fridays and he then replied that he wasnโ€™t available. Iโ€™m very upset. I let him know exactly what time I would be available. This is nonsense and a waste of time and energy. I have too much going on for this foolery. Maybe he just needed $ today to $ out on my insurance.

I called this therapist to make an appointment. He didn't answer and I left a voice message with contact information. He texted that he would return my call. I never got a call back. Made a few more attempts but I was ignored. Unprofessional.
