Refreshingly Holistic Approach!
Telehealth
Traci brings a refreshingly holistic approach to the therapeutic sphere. I have been her patient for over a year and under her guidance I have experienced immense personal growth. Traci has equipped me with the tools to navigate my healing journey productively. She is extremely insightful and her model of therapy provided me with the motivation I needed to begin the process of truly deep self-work and introspection. I am grateful to have finally found an effective therapist who prioritizes getting to the root of emotional issues instead of using psychiatric medications as a band-aid.

I wanted a therapist that talked back and didn’t just listen. I also wanted someone who would tell me the truth even if it was hard to hear and made me uncomfortable. If you are looking for the same you have found the right therapist. Traci listens and engages. She is companionate and really cares about her patients. I have talked to her for 2 years and have seen so much growth. I needed someone to call me out and hold me accountable and that is what she does. I couldn’t recommend her enough! She is truly amazing! She helped me thru some dark times and helped me see the light again!

Overall, Traci has been terrific and has helped me so much with my mental health. Shortly after coming off antidepressants which only cause adverse affects, I reached out to Traci. She takes a holistic approach and emphasizes dealing with emotions head on instead of suppressing them with medication and other coping mechanisms. She provided me with a lot of resources to educate myself with problems I was struggling with individually and other relationships in my life. The only minor annoyance I experienced was that she was a bit late to some of the virtual appointments I had. Honestly, therapy has been life changing for me and I believe everyone should try it. Even if Traci isn’t the right match for you, she is incredibly empathetic and truly wants her patients to live a healthy and happy lifestyle.

I have been seeing Tracy for over two years. With being a male police officer there is a big stigma about speaking with a psychiatrist. Tracy was extremely professional and empathetic to my situation and was able to help me become comfortable to talk about my feelings that I was taught to bottle up and burry. Initially I was completely against speaking with someone as I thought it made me appear weak. If anything speaking with Tracy has completely changed my perspective. Tracy was able to guide me in finding a natural and healthy way to be able to process my emotions and feelings in a healthy way. As a man and as a police officer we tend to have a hard time being vulnerable and speaking about our troubles. After this I now know that speaking and working on our mental health only shows how strong it is to confront that side of oneself. I highly recommend giving therapy a shot for any men or anyone in the law enforcement community

I absolutely loved working with Traci! She is extremely validating and empathetic and I am so appreciative of the lifelong connection we have made. I enjoyed the active tasks that she would ask me to do during session and used relevant reading materials/articles that promoted a deeper insight into myself. I learned a lot about myself in a safe space and always felt supported. Therapy is hard work but working with Traci made it an extremely positive experience. I tried various mental health professionals, all with different styles of practicing therapy, and Traci was the perfect fit; direct, warm, caring, and hopeful! I also enjoy the holistic approach she has and how she takes the focus away from pharmaceuticals as a "fix". Overall, one of the best experiences I have had with a mental health professional.

Traci has really helped me understand how I see and react to the world around me and has helped me develop tools to better navigate life. I was very hesitant to consult a therapist, but Traci immediately put me at ease and I've been very happy with my decision to see her.

I have been seeing Traci for 2 years now. She has helped improve my life in countless ways and I have recommended her services to several people. I have been to therapists in they past who were great listeners, but offered very little feedback. I always wondered if therapy was helping at all. Traci is different. She is also a fantastic listener, but always offers food for thought. Instead of telling me how I should feel, she poses questions to allow me to think things out and find a healthy solution that is right for me personally. She is a wealth of knowledge and always offers suggestions for books, films, and services that may help enhance therapy. It is clear that her only objective is her clients well being. Traci has helped me find my voice in situations where I had previously only found fear. I recommend her with sincere trust and confidence. I am a happier and healthier person these days. I could not have done this without Traci's guidance.

Traci is fantastic at what she does! I've been to many other therapists offices and my experience with Traci is by far superior. I feel like Traci is someone who cares about her patients and looks out for their well being. For starters, she is easily accessible and always promptly answers my texts and emails. She really looks at you and your life in its entirety, so that you can get to the root of your problems. This includes taking a good look at the negative patterns in your life, and not sugar coating what is ailing you. I feel educated and supported when I walk out of her office. If you are interested in a holistic yet practical approach to your mental health and overall wellbeing, you will find your "happy place" at this practice!

I’ve been seeing Traci for over a year now and she has been invaluable to me improving my life, and especially working through my depression. She pushes me to examine my discomforts and hesitancies. She has really helped me work through issues I knew were problems, and lots of others I had not even realized I was ignoring. She is very compassionate and understanding, and truly wants to help Her patients as much as she can.

At the beginning of the year I started having really bad anxiety and panic attacks. I was recommended by a friend to go and see Traci. I filled out the contact form on her website and she got back to me in 15 min and after some info back and forth a meeting was setup, so easy. From the beginning she has been nothing but nice, honest and professional. She knows her stuff and has helped me tremendously!

I’ve been a patient of Traci’s for close to 10 years. In the beginning, I was completely closed off. There were times I would try to out wait her in silence for our sessions to end. I trusted no one, including myself. With time, effort and conversation, that changed. Traci is someone who has unlimited patience. She is approachable. She knows how to deeply empathize and listen. She is a genuine person and an expert in her field. She gave me the push I needed (several times) and always held me accountable in a caring way. I found my voice through our work and learned the process of feeling. I’m very grateful for that and the support she’s given me.

Judgemental, rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Does not deserve to have her own practice and should have her license revoked. She is not a good fit for the healthcare industry. And she needs colleagues to help write good reviews for her.

When I first started seeing Traci, she took the time to really learn about my background and where I was coming from. I am not one to share my feelings freely but after only a few sessions I noticed that I was opening up to her. Traci has a perfect balance of honesty and compassion which makes for a great combination. The more I opened up, the more she had to work with and she used that information to point me in the right direction. And for that, I am grateful!

I have struggled with moderate-severe depression for over 30 years, 10 of which I was on medication. I started seeing Traci 6 months ago to stop taking the medication and to finally address the root cause of my issues. Through hard work, honest self-reflection, some internal pain, I have started to come out the other side and for the first time in my entire life feel like I'm really "me." Traci tells me that she is just my "tour guide" and that I'm the one who has done all the work. I tell her she is my miracle worker. I will forever be grateful to her knowledge, skill and compassionate ear.

Traci has always been helpful and understanding. I’ve seen her for two different issues over the last 10 years, this most recent was for grief counseling over the loss of my Mom. She will give you information to read pertinent to your situation. If you do what she recommends it’s amazing how much better you feel. I truly thought I can handle what I was going through on my own until my husband said to me you need to talk to Traci again. As soon as I made the appointment I felt a little better instantly. I’ve felt even better each time I’ve seen her. Some sessions have been harder than others but she’s there to get to the root of how and why you’re feeling the way you do. Working on yourself is a hard journey but you’ll feel great in the end. Thank you Traci for everything ! Alecia M. New Haven, CT

×Post a ResponseAre you Traci Marando?
Initially I liked the idea of a natural approach without medication. I weaned off, but was not getting better. After repeatedly telling Tracy, her responses were I believe now completely unprofessional. I was told the reason I was told it was my fault as I wasn’t trying hard enough, I wasn’t journaling enough, etc. I left her after she refused to prescribe anti-depressants. I am back on medication and seeing a much more compassionate therapist and doing better. I always felt she had issues with men as she would tell stories about her father issues and I think she saw me the same way. Office management was also totally unprofessional. She would often be late but did not tolerate my occasional lateness. One time she double booked me with someone else. The billing was always off and inaccurate but in her favor. She lent me a book from her library and when I stopped seeing her she refused to refund over $200 until I returned a $15 book. There are much better options!
