Dr. Tracy Covington, PHD

Yep, Covington is not too stable herself and seems to project her issues onto others. She seems to think she's here to liberate all women from the tyranny of men.

I’m a trauma survivor who has tried to intellectualize my way out of pain. All my life I’ve crafted survival techniques becoming adept at understanding the way others operate so that I could calculate my every move and arrive at a place I deemed safe, tolerable, or survivable. Decades of this practice left me highly empathetic to your feelings but numb, dismissive and barely able to identify my own. Joyless. Dr. Covington not only helped me understand the emotional aspects of my behaviors, she explained the physiological ones. She listens clearly and compassionately. Utilizing her extensive knowledge of the effects of trauma/ptsd on the mind and body, she offered treatment options tailored for me. We’ve been working together 4 short months laser focused on her recommended course of action. I’m remarkably better. I’m not stuck anymore. My world has gone from bl & wh to technicolor. My experience beyond what I dared imagine. If you’re after radical healing, Dr. C. is phenomenal.

Dr. Covington is a down to earth therapist. She is kind, compassionate and cares about her patients. She will give you her professional opinion. Sometimes we don't always want to listen. Even though we know the opinion is spot on. I personally felt she was a great therapist. And I would highly recommend her. I do believe not everyone clicks the same. As well as some people are so wounded that they see only negative and blame others for their pain.

She is advising patients to stop calling their mother mom and call them by their name. Condoning a split from mother/daughter relationship. What therapist does that? She condones unhealthy behaviors in her patients instead of helping resolve issues. Very unprofessional and needs to seek help herself. Do not seek help through this so called specialist.
