Troy Cowger, CADCI

I didn't find during my tenure in rehab that Mr. Cowger turned anyone away from treatment or showed an unwillingness to confront addiction to dangerous substances at its rawest and most human depths-- which makes him unique among counselors that I have met and detoxed under. He has strong views that I differ 3 from but I think that that's not so important in detox. He's a credit to the profession.

Troy made treatment effective and fun! I know the importance of being sober now. Troy was always there whenever I needed him, even if I didn't say anything!

Troy displayed the utmost care and understanding to me during treatment. He really cares about his client's needs and shows it throughout the treatment process. I hold Troy in the highest regard and would recommend him to anyone entering treatment.

Troy was a great counselor that took the time to make sure everything was laid out. He made sure i understood what was expected of me, and what i needed to do to get through the process.

I started my treatment not knowing what the heck I was getting myself into. During my stay here I learned what the importance of actually being sober meant. I've been in treatment before and that really didn't workout for me cause my counselor was a real pain and that just added more fuel to the fire but with this class it had a different effect. I started to realize that my life wasn't just about using and drinking all the time it actually made realize that I have more to offer the world instead of throwing my life away and I want to thank the program and Troy for helping me accomplish this hurdle. Troy is an extremely knowledgeable counselor who tempers that knowledge with compassion. There is never a quick fix, however Troy has a tool box full of incredibly useful ideas and processes that make overcoming your obstacles achievable and gives you personalized support to achieve it. I started going to counseling when I wasn't sure that was the answer I needed. It definitely was, and Troy helped me through the process of understanding my addiction & how to get the support I needed. He also motivated me to get the tools I needed to stay focused with my recovery. I'm loving every day that I am clean, clear headed and much healthier mentally to take on each day.
