Lifesaver and life changer
in 2019 I experienced betrayal trauma that was life shattering. Everything I believed to be true in my relationship, my core beliefs and values, and faith was in question. I was very skeptical of therapists and especially a male because of previous experiences and believing he could not possibly be empathetic to something he had not experienced. I did not feel safe sharing my deep pain with a man. Three years later I have experienced massive growth and healing due to Tyler's guidance, expertise and professionalism. My husband and I would not be in the much healthier, safer, and loving relationship we are in today without Tyler. I truly thank God for guiding us to someone who could truly understand and help us with the complex relationship and addiction problems we faced. Tyler is not a tell you what you want to hear therapist, if you want real help and healing on this tough subject and are willing to change and grow, he's your guy!

Originally I was nervous to see a therapist, but after meeting with Tyler I’ve been glad to made the choice to see one. He’s been helpful with my personal struggles and it’s been easy to understand his insights. I always leave appointments feeling better and more educated. Tyler is an awesome therapist and I’d recommend him to anyone.

Tyler is an amazingly gifted therapist. I have had significant trauma in my life. Before seeing Tyler, I had daily flashbacks and insomnia. The trauma was literally hijacking my life. I felt like every day was a day of survival, to just make it through. Looking back, I honestly don't know how I lived in that darkness. Tyler is empathetic and guides you through the healing process. After decades of suffering, I don't have flashbacks anymore, and I can sleep at night. My soul is at peace, and I have hope. I feel like Tyler gave me a whole new life. I am grateful.

I have worked with Tyler as one of his clients for 4 years. Ever since the first conversation I had with him on the phone, I knew he would be a good fit for me. He was down to earth, sincere, and didn't presume that he had the answers; he was there to listen and understand first. This had a deep impression on me when what he did have to share and teach me was extremely applicable and real. Tyler seems to have an innate ability to see people as people. He has a wise yet unpretentious presence that puts me at ease as a client. He has helped me learn to normalize my experiences with addiction and reorient my perspective on what is commonly held to be wrong or taboo, thereby approaching recovery from a compassionate and scientific way. These lessons on mindfulness and moving away from black/white thinking are among the greatest exercises I've learned (and am learning) from Tyler. I have met with 4 other therapists. Tyler's candor, humility, respect and insight are what set him apart.

Tyler’s laid back vibe and clear concern for me as a person instantly made me feel comfortable, which is huge when you’re contemplating whether or not to share your secrets with a total stranger. He provided me with the education, tools, and strategies that have helped me understand and manage my emotional issues that were the underlying causes of my addictions. I have benefited immensely from the one on one as well as group therapy sessions with Tyler. He is a great teacher and guide and I can say without a doubt that I am a better man because of his help.

I'm part of his online group coaching. Tyler knows what I have been feeling, he has been in my shoes, he walks the path of recovery and whole hearted living every day. I can tell he loves me and cares for me. He has created a safe space where I and my fellow brothers can learn and lift each other up. We hold each other accountable but frankly we dig deep to repair ours and our spouses broken hearts. I love how we address our false beliefs, share our hopes and dreams and work on creating a whole heart. He has a religious background and brings the best of that world to therapy but not in an overbearing way. I have never felt like there is a path to recover or that I could actually take that path then when I'm in this group.

I did a year of group therapy with Tyler. He's a dang good therapist, but even more than that, he is a good man. He really cares about the people he works with and, to me, that makes a huge difference. I had a bad taste in my mouth from a few of our past therapists who were so sterile/clinical/objective/emotionless (whatever you want to call it). I didn't feel like they had any concern or care for me at all. Tyler is the exact opposite. He cares and made a difference in me getting on the road to recovery and learning how to manage my own garbage.

My wife and I have received counseling from Tyler for several years. We have worked individually, as a couple, and in group therapy. We have been able to make huge strides individually and as a couple. Tyler teaches, guides, understands, and encouragers. Much of the work is our own to do, but knowing what to do, and being encouraged in the process is vital. We have worked with other counselors over our 30+ years of marriage. My wife says she had never felt so understood as she has been with Tyler. He is down to earth, real, and passionate about what he is doing. My wife and I are still married and working at our relationship today due in no small way to the help we received from Tyler!
