I took my 11 yr son to Dr Brown for neuropsych evaluation because he was struggling in school and school had failed to do testing or provide support. Dr. Brown's office was so disorganized and understaffed it took 5 months to do basic testing He then took FOUR MONTHS to provide a written report, compromising son's status; could not go to Due Process with school district w/out expert report. Had to seek other providers to do routine testing Brown did not do such as cognitive testing, Brown unethically refused to provide new provider with sorecords. efused to give his email address and we were only allowed to communicate thru office assistant. Son's pro bono Special Ed attorney and other psychologist (at CHLA) urged me to file complaint against Dr Brown's license for malfeasance. When a highly regarded psychologist who is professor at USC and director of program at CHLA recommends challenging ethics of another professional in their field, there is a problem.

The first therapist I had here was alright, but she left the company before I really got far into anything. The next therapist I got was a disaster who hijacked sessions and invalidated so much basic info I shared about myself. I'm surprised someone else said the practice is not really there to help. I was essentially told to go elsewhere when I asked for help pairing with a more compatible therapist. I didn't even accuse anyone of being unethical, but I always believed that therapist was. I guess "stay away" from this practice is the correct answer. The experience I ultimately had there was very difficult for me.

He does not care about the patients well being. He cares about malpractice, does not want to take “hard” patients, always want to Be in safe side. Treat you as if you were nothing if you can not be of benefit to their practice. Basically he is a businessman first rather than a a community servant.
