Dr. William Smith Jr, OD

I just wanted to say that W. Van Smith in the optometry office is smug and rude. I visited on 6/7/23 from all the way in Malvern where no one had an available slot andi just can't stop thinking about that interaction. His assistant was very kind and hospitable. Once I was brought back for my exam he spoke down to me the entire time. I'm not sure if it was because I hadn't been examined in 5 years or what, but that shouldn't matter. My prescription hasn't even changed, just need new glasses and updated prescription. He kept reexplaining the need to keep my contacts clean even though I've had them in the past and had explained that I know how to take care of them. I put the contacts in at the office. Took maybe 3 minutes total to wash my hands, get seated, adjust the mirror, open the packaging, and put the contacts in. When I was done he opened the door to his office and mocked me saying "That took a long time, did you forget how?" Needless to say I won't be returning!!!
