I am the same Pamela who posted a bad review regarding a visit I attended with my brother. I hope it will be deleted soon. We have worked through our issue and things are so much better. I think in this case she deserves a second chance.

She shares your psychiatric records what other doctors without your permission

Me and some other people I know see her for meds. I think she really cares about her patients. She asks me questions others haven't asked me before. She is encouraging.

She is very compassionate and understanding. She listens to me, unlike other people I have seen. She takes into account what I have to say about my meds.

Someone needs to fire her. She clearly needs more training.

She has helped me a lot with my depression by finding the right combination of meds for me. I’m sleeping better, I feel more motivated and I’m enjoying life more. She is very kind.

I feel that she takes the time to listen to me. She is caring, sincere and knowledgeable.

I would give Yara a zero star if it were possible. She (barely) managed my Bipolar for over a year. She refused to prescribe medications that had a proven track record for helping me and prescribed dangerous new drugs that always ended up making me sicker. When I asked why she simply stated, "I don't prescribe those drugs for your condition". She refuses to see patients as individuals, instead preferring a blanketed one-size-fits-all approach with sometimes devastating results. Run from her!

It's important to explain the context of my poor rating. As a person, Yara seems mostly genuine and sincere - like she believes in the goodness of her work at Community Council, an organization helping lower income patients to become healthy and whole. They are wonderful. But Yara is somewhat young, inexperienced and over her head. During conversations, she had her head stuck in her laptop - half listening. She was cynical of my condition / medication and I felt like a criminal. Maybe it was me?
