Yvette treats the whole person.
I returned to see Yvette after being symptom free for 5 years. I was very anxious, not able to focus at work, and thinking I needed medical leave. Yvette listened to me and told me she would assist in obtaining medical leave if I wasn't feeling better by my next session. I agreed. She gave me some tools to use to cope with anxiety, and she taught me about the importance of a health diet. She gave me the ingredients to a smoothy to help boost serotonin naturally, and to help my nervous system be better able to process stress. She explained how sleep (or lack of it) is connected to anxiety and we worked on a sleep hygiene plan. I agreed to do my part in keeping up with sleep and healthy diet, and to return the next week to assess if I would need medical leave from my job. Her assurance that she would help me gave me peace and after implementing the plan for a week, I knew I would be ok. My anxiety was reduced by 30 to 40%! Amazing what a little sleep and smoothy will do.
