She earned her Bachelor of Science at Pennsylvania State University and then attended Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. Biography: Dr. Kyle Lester joined the Urology Group in 2023. He was born and raised in Bluefield, WV. His interest for medicine began at an early age as the son of a small-town general surgeon. He earned a bachelor of arts in German and a minor in Economics from Sewanee and went on to complete medical school at the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Lester was active in the Student Osteopathic Surgical Association acting as the vice president for the local chapter, and graduated magna cum laude. He completed his urological surgery residency at the Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, PA in 2019. He received excellent training in all aspects of urology, particularly endourology, prosthetics and reconstruction, oncology and general urology. His training also included time at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Fox Chase Cancer Center. After residency, he completed an additional year of fellowship training in robotics and urologic oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Florida in 2020. His robotics training was primarily focused on robotic radical prostatectomy and kidney surgery. After fellowship Dr. Lester accepted a position in 2020 with the Central Ohio Urology Group located in Columbus, OH. He spent two and half years with the practice before moving back to Virginia. Dr. Lester and his wife are excited to be closer to family and friends. Dr. Lester prides his practice on shared decision making and spending time with patients. His areas of interest include general urology, transperineal prostate biopsy, robotic kidney and prostate surgery, surgical management of stone disease and minimally invasive BPH. He resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and two children. Dr. Lester enjoys soccer, snow skiing, running, the outdoors, triathlons, German culture and spending time with family.

Biography: Amanda Smart, MD grew up in Palm Harbor, Florida and moved to the DC area for college and has remained here ever since. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology at Georgetown University and graduated magna cum laude. She attended Georgetown University School of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
