My son has very high anxiety and had wisdom teeth surgery scheduled. When my son tried to explain his anxiety and all he got was scoffs and that’s not a good enough excuse. He told the nurse to cancel and not reschedule. He didn’t explain that there would be sedation followed by anesthesia. He was rude and dismissive. My son tried to get through it but ended up not trusting Dr Mcaboy. When told we’d have to take him a hospital, they said they could not make a recommendation. Sorry to bother you!

He was super rude and dismissive when I went in for a consultation. Acted like my problem wasn’t a big deal when I’ve had multiple other dentists tell me this is something I need to fix. I would not suggest him to anyone.

We were disappointed to say the least. We waited 2 & 1/2 months for a consult and spent a half day (2.5 hours roundtrip and an hour in the waiting room) to be told he couldn't help us. Had he looked at my son's x-rays and history when we were first referred in May, he would have known that my son will need general anesthesia for his wisdom teeth removal, which can only be done in a hospital setting. I was confused by several of his explanations, and I am frustrated that we will now need to start over. This is delaying the progress my son's braces are making, and we would have delayed putting them on his teeth had we known this ahead of time.

I never had surgery of any sort, never been sedated. On May 1 I schedule my consultation appointment for May 29. Turns out the lady didn't even put my appointment in and I didn't know until 5 days before. I get a new appointment 4 days before and THAT'S when they decide to tell me that I would be paying $140 UP FRONT the day of, even though I asked to be billed (I'm poor, okay?). I get to the consultation, get the xray done, and he was VERY pushy to try to convince me to get all my wisdom teeth removed (when only one was impacted and the rest were straight and not problematic). Took me quite a bit to tell him I only wanted the one removed. Didn't even explain to me the procedure or the types of sedation. I told him that I have severe anxiety with needles and he didn't try to reassure me at all. He didn't even read the paperwork prior to seeing me and there were some VITAL things I had on there that I was worried about. Left feeling more anxious than I was before. Getting a new surgeon.

Dr. Mcaboy and his staff are amazing!!!! I had to have 3 broken teeth out and was beyond nervous but his front staff along with his hygienist and himself did everything they could to comfort me and let me know I would get through it fine. He had me numb and all 3 teeth out in under 10 min without any pain. I live 1 1/2 hours away but will be making the drive anytime I need an oral surgeon in the future!!!!

I’ve been to several dentists that weren’t able to pull my teeth, I was referred to McAboy, and my experience was awesome. Everyone at the office was very friendly and helpful. He answered all of my questions, quickly and efficiently. He’s obviously very good at his job. Some of the reviews seem to think not enjoying someone’s personality should define the actual work that they do? Which is a shame because he’s extremely talented.

I was terrified of going to have 22 teeth pulled at one time. His assistant Amy was great explained everything kept me calm. The Dr. Came in started and it was over before I knew he pulled one tooth. He's the best dentist I've ever seen. If you are scared of dental work get the iv sedation and you will have no worries. They are professional gentle and accommodating to those of us who are scared to death of needles and having teeth extracted. I am so happy I went to see Dr.McAboy changed my life.

I had 2 teeth that were were hurting me really bad. I called my dentist and went in hoping that they could do something. After looking at them and taking an x-ray they felt more comfortable referring me out. I was happy that I was able to get an appointment with Dr. McAboy and they day he saw me he decided that we should go ahead and pull my two teeth right there and then. I am glad I had it done and the pain is gone and recovery easy. Thank you.

If I knew having my wisdom teeth out felt this good I would have done it sooner, instead of thinking the pain would just go away. The last time my two wisdom teeth on the bottom just would not stop hurting. I called and was able to get an appointment with Dr. McAboy. I was very pleased with the staff and their helpfulness. They accepted my insurance and told me what was needed for my appointment. I showed up 10 min early filled out some paperwork. I was very happy with Dr. McAboy and the process.
