Quick to recommend drastic interventions
Be careful. Dr. Patel herself is warm and experienced. But this practice seems eager to jump to expensive interventions. I let them drill what they told me were cavities, and was also told I might need a root canal. On the phone later I asked about the root canal, and the receptionist offered to schedule me for one immediately. That seemed irresponsible of her, so I brought my x-rays to other dentists. From them, I learned that the areas drilled out as cavities had merely been discolorations due to enamel degradation - which can be mistaken for cavities. In fact I have no cavities and no evidence of decay anywhere. Now I have permanently damaged teeth from the drilling. If you are going just for a cleaning or simple aesthetic procedure, this is a fine place and a warm, family environment. But for serious and permanent interventional treatment, GET A SECOND OPINION before consenting at this practice.

I was scammed!
I went to see Dr. Falguni Patel as a new patient. She advertises on the site that my Cigna dental plan is in-network. I get to the office and the receptionist is on her phone and unprofessional. They take my x rays and the dentist comes in to clean my teeth instead of the dental hygienist. After she cleans my teeth, she looks at the x-rays and immediately says I have about 3 cavities that need filling based on the images. Something seemed off, so I took the x-rays and sent them to my old dentist, whom I fully trust. They told me there were no cavities at all, especially not that need filling. She was prepared to drill into my teeth with no need! Then, my insurance tells me she is not in network, and what was advertised on the site was false. I called to try to get an explanation, and the receptionist said she would call me back. I was never called back as promised by both the dentist and the receptionist.

Office staff unprofessional
I made an appointment for a cleaning, but didn't get one. The dentist that I was assigned to, was nice, but spent most of the time teaching hygiene, and polishing. When a cleaning was attempted, water was continuously coming out of my mouth, it was superficial, and only the front part of my teeth. I asked to speak with Dr. Patel - who I met briefly before the cleaning, and seemed nice, but was told by the office manager that I would not be able to speak with her. I found the office manager to be unprofessional, yelling at staff when I first arrived about disorganized charts, argumentative, chaotic, and focused on collecting $350 payment upfront rather than quality clinical care. I cannot speak to Dr. Patel's care, but was dissatisfied with how my care and visit was managed.

It was an always amazing experience. The staff is always nice and polite, and Dr. Patel is very skilled in her specialty, so this is a very professional and efficient practice. Throughout the years, I had suggested a number of family members and close friends. Thank you for taking such good care of me!

Dr. Patel was a patient and thorough doctor. During and after the session, she was fantastic at clarifying what needed to be done to my teeth and asking how I felt and if I had any questions. I finally found a kind dentist who can make the procedure less painful.  Very thorough, and the staff was quite friendly and welcoming. My hygienist took her time and explained what was going on with my teeth and how I should care for them moving forward. Coming from someone who is terrified of dentists (don't we all? ), my experience with Dr. Patel was nothing short of fantastic.

My experience here was always great in past I moved to Long Island 5 years ago and seeing dentist near my house and was advised by three other dentists that I required a root canal. I went to Dr. Patel's office because she had previously been my dentist in past and costs were reasonable. Dr. Patel said I don't need a root canal. I was stunned and surprised that three other doctor said pain will get worse if I don't do root canal. She sounded quite knowledgeable and persuasive. She then went on to explain why she believes that because I grinds my teeth a lot and now I suffers from muscular soreness and traumatic bites. She suggested that I wear a mouth guard and that they inspect me again. Because I grind my teeth at night, I had a custom mouth guard made.  The next week ,I received my mouth guard. I've been pain-free for 8 months, and I'm sleeping much better, absolutely no pain. i never needed root canal. Dr. Patel and her team is a wonderful and really knowledgeable.

Dr. Patel is wonderful. I called her office Tuesday morning with an issue of painful and swollen gums. after I filled out the necessary paper work and emailed it to the office I was told to come right in. She x-rayed my mouth and examined the inflammation in my mouth. She consulted with another professional about my issue, reassured me that the issue would be resolved all before 12:30 pm. I left with a referral to a periodontist and an appointment. All in all the staff was great, warm and considerate and her care was thorough, gentle and reassuring. I would recommend her to everyone. Thank you Dr. Patel!!!

One Or Two Sour Apples Can Ruin A Bunch, But There Is Something To Say When You Hire Rude Receptionist, Whom Represent Your Dental Office (Wish I Had Her Name) , She Was HIGHLY Disrespectful With Her Responses On Texting Me.. At No Point Did I Come Out Rude, I Have The Proof On My Phone... It's Unfortunate That This How Your Treated At Dr. Petal Dental Office .. Never Will Go Or Recommend Anyone To Go There.

Absolutely horrendous AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! As a person who works in healthcare and actually cares for other people I know they don't have your best interest at heart. This place was absolutely the worst! Let me start by saying Dr.Patel was ok but mediocre at best however her staff is rude and incompetent. The girl in the front is unprofessional and condescending. I found it funny because I am not only a healthcare worker but also a medical student so I know how you should communicate with your patients and making them feel like they are children being scolded is completely unacceptable. I went in for a regular checkup with the slight concern of a potential cavity and a little spotting when I brush my teeth very simple and common matters. Instead they completely ignored my concerns and not only that but pressured me to randomly get my wisdom tooth pulled theout same day. Now most people know a wisdom tooth extraction is a minor procedure but still something you have to plan for it.

I would not reccomend her, her front desk assistant is horrible at setting times and calling baclk. The point of going to a good dentist or anyone if for them to assist you with good customer service. She has hung up on me several times lied and said she was the manager. When I asked to speak to a manager she told me that she was the manager and hung up on me several time. Terrible customer service.
