Dr. Victor Ivancev, DMD

He's a great dentist, and I speak from long experience with other excellent dentists and not-so-excellent ones. He's detail oriented, goes over the x-rays to explain why a procedure should be done, and treats me with warmth and respect. My former dentist, in NY, also excellent, was the official NY Rangers' dentist, so I had high standards when I moved to Amherst and needed a dentist. I specifically request Dr. I when I go. Plus he has the best sense of humor, a great quality when getting a crown or some other intense procedure that requires a long visit. All of his work has stood up very well for the twelve years I've been his patient.

Horrendous experience for my adult son with autism, who was brought to Dr. Ivancev by his group home manager for a routine cleaning. My son had previously been in the care of a different dentist closer to our home, where he was last seen six months ago. No problems detected by the previous dentist. Conversely, Dr. Ivancev found multiple problems he wanted to treat, including the restoration of three fillings, two new fillings, and an extraction/implant! How could the situation in my son’s mouth have deteriorated so rapidly in six months? Dr. Ivancev’s overly aggressive diagnosis differed significantly from our old dentist. Get a second opinion if you’re not comfortable with his overly aggressive treatment plan!

Excellent dentist! Has a great sense of humor as well.
