CHARGED AS ER HOSPITAL VISIT INSTEAD OF DOCTOR'S VISIT!My husband and I are currently fighting a bill because Dr. Lee's office is billing this as a hospital bill instead of a doctor's visit and they refuse to fix the billing codes. The charges are astronomical because it's as if my husband walked into the ER for and ER visit and labs (imagine how much more hospitals charge for this than a regular doctor). So we have now received a bill for almost $600 plus another bill from a lab that is 'out-of-area' (without my husband's consent). If you make a regular doctor's visit appointment, BEWARE that you will be charged as if you went to the hospital at UCI instead of the doctor's office where you made the appointment. We have seen several doctors who have offices in medical centers and have never been billed this way. This is unacceptable and we will continue to fight this!
