Frustrating
I was billed personally for the visit, even though I provided my valid medical card. Afterwards, when I called about this matter the provider stated that this was a mistake on their behalf. When my medical aid insisted they refund my account, it was a chaotic process. It took 5 months and many calls and arguments. They refused to refund via EFT. Finally they agreed to post a cheque internationally, all the way to RSA. However, this is ineffective and unsafe, as our banks don't accept physical cheques any more.
