Florida Eye Specialists (San Marco) gets TWO THUMBS DOWN. After reading all of the glowing reviews, my expectations were high. My visit, however, turned out to be a huge disappointment. I was in the waiting room for almost an hour before being called back to be fitted for contact lenses. A technician came in 10 minutes later, asked questions, then left the room. A few minutes later she returned to inform me that they did not have my contacts in stock and nothing could be done today.Here's the (not so) amussing part...My original appointment was scheduled 4 days from now. Their office called a couple days ago to move up my appointment to today. At the time, I was very impressed with their efficiency. Needless to say, I am not impressed anymore.There was a total disregard for my time. I scheduled time off from work twice - one day for my original appointment and then again for the earlier appointment that they rescheduled. I drove to the southside of Jax from work in Georgia.

This visit was for a patient-initiated follow up to a cataract procedure. Even though I was 30 minutes early to my appointment and was prepared to wait, the staff managed to get me started after only a few minutes in the waiting room. Dr Freidl and her staff eagerly and enthusiastically ran me through a series of tests, accurately diagnosed my symptoms, clearly and compassionately explained the findings, prescribed treatment and encouragingly managed my expectations as to when I would notice improvement. Dr Freidl and the staff at Florida Eye Specialists are the best!

From the receptionist to the whole team of Dr Hasan and the assistants make for a greatPatient experience. I think anyone he has taken care of will avow to his talents and capabilities. So glad an optometrist recommended him for my cataract surgery.

All went well. However, It should be common practice to tell a patient before doing a test that there will be a charge for it. I was having my refraction of 2021 checked, a couple tweaks were done, and when I checked out, a $50 charge was applied.

Florida Eye Specialists, and particularly Dr Freidl, managed my expectations at every step of the process, clearly articulating what was to be accomplished and then taking the time to answer all of my questions and alleviate all of my concerns. The surgeries could not have gone any better with no pain or discomfort. My first LAL adjustment resulted in truly magical improvements in my near and distance vision; exceeding all my expectations. I strongly recommend Dr Freidl, her staff, and the entire team at Florida Eye Specialists.

Dr. Chokshi is a very skilled eye surgeon and seems to make very skilled decisions in high stress situations for the patient’s benefit I believe he is trust worthy and puts the patient’s interest
