Dr. Downes & his staff are the Best in NM
Dr. Downes is a fantastic doctor, surgeon, and all round awesome man. He did my lens replacements and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Downes has also treated my brother whose cataracts had caused total vision loss - the procedure for my brother was more complicated but Dr. Downes skill and fantastic care has restored my brothers vision. Our family can't thank him enough! The staff at Southwest Eye Care is top notch as well - they are kind and compassionate which is a must have for their patients dealing with possible loss of vision and surgical corrections. The staff is knowledgeable, very patient to explain things every step of the way. Pricing for procedures are well within range of other providers offering similar care and they offer the most up to date lenses and procedures. They accept a lot of insurance plans and can point you the direction of finding a loan should you need that and will work with self pay folks too. Myself and my family HIGHLY recommend Dr. Downes and the fine folk

Horrible reception
Dr Sanchez is great. However the receptionists are rude and condescending. When the doc says I am to be seen in a couple of weeks, not only do they say it won’t happen, they say, what do you want me to do about it, we can’t get you in! Months later, same thing. I finally left the practice.

Poor treatment by from desk
An office administrator could decide where I could see a doctor or not if I asked questions. If you go here don’t question the forms you fill out.

Review for Dr. Brice Hwang, Ophthalmologist I was extremely disappointed with Dr. Hwang. He seemed more interested in the slight redness on my nose than my issues with my blurry eye vision. He gave me a referral to a dermatologist and a prescription for eye drops, and never actually told me what was wrong with my right eye. I got the impression he was not that interested in my eye problems.
