Terrible experience
Dr Sanchez has always had too many patients and many times before COVID you'd have to wait for him a long time. My poor mother was devoted to this terrible doctor as she proceeded to go blind with glaucoma and macular degeneration. He filled her with false promises and hopes. And drag her on and wasted valuable time until we finally got her to a specialist that did more for her in two months than he did in the two years that her conditions began to worsen. He is I am sorry to say a very poor doctor and just fills old people with false hopes and expectations. Yes she was eventually going to go blind but it might have been prolonged with better care and it was terrible that he told her she would still see peripherally when he knew she would be blind. A terrible false hope that I had to crush.

I immediately calmed down as soon as Dr Sanchez entered the room. A trusting casual style and an honesty I needed to hear. concerns remain: 1) How am I to live and work between the scheduled date of cataract removal of one eye and the other which is 1 full month and a half. 2) If I decide to get only the cataract removal, and not the astigmatism repair, will my eye sight improve at all? 3) If I put this off, how much worse my seeing get without surgery?

He was very knowledgeable and explained everything well. Also gave me the option of deciding for myself, within my own time frame. I feel he is correct on cataract surgery and will probably go ahead with it in about 6 mos.
